Old Henryville

After the savage axe murders and lynchings, several reporters commented that they expected to find primitive conditions at Henryville. Their expectations were overturned when they found a well-developed town easily accessible by rail. This photo was taken a few years after the murders, but shows the town as it looked in the age of rail travel.
