This map of the Lewis and Clark expedition trail gives some idea of the immense territory York traversed as a member of the team of famous explorers. The team traveled a total of around 8,000 miles, much of it on foot. As a hunter providing meat for the explorers, York undoubtedly traveled far more miles than the trail map suggests.
