This memorial to those that trained, deployed or demobilized at Camp Atterbury, was dedicated on August 15, 1992, marking the 50th anniversary since the activation of Camp Atterbury. It was the result of more than a year of work by several diverse groups of volunteers. The memorial cost $300,000 to build and was funded entirely by donations.
