Princess Theatre Early Days

The Princess Theatre is one of several theatres open in Bloomington in Hoagy's days. The Princess opened in 1913 and was the first in the town to feature Edison Talking Pictures along with silent films. By 1929, Vitaphone and Movietone sound systems were installed, as advertised on the marquee in this image.
