Covered Bridge

In 1875, the county commissioned a bridge to carry Strawtown Pike across the Wildcat Creek at the village of Vermont. The creation of Kokomo Reservoir necessitated a new bridge, and the old covered bridge was going to be razed until the Howard County Historical Society began a campaign to save it. It was dismantled and reassembled in Highland Park in 1957.
