From an 1889 Sanborn insurance map, this image shows the original layout of the Diamond Plate Glass works. The diagram clearly shows the furnaces, casting and annealing areas, and the grinding and polishing rooms that prepared the glass for shipping. The Pennsylvania Railroad spur that was built just for the plant is shown near the warehouse.
