St. Mary's, 1944

During the first half of the twentieth century, St. Mary’s saw a decline in membership that was only exacerbated by anti-German sentiment stemming from both world wars. This trend only reversed in the 1950s due to the parish’s active outreach in the Cuban and Latvian immigrant communities.
